RCI Enchant KidsBridge

Each year, more and more families are planning cruise vacations. There are many reasons for this trend, including access to lodging, activities, food, and multiple destinations for one set price. I took my kids on a cruise vacation over 10 years ago when they were teenagers and they loved the whole experience. Today more than ever before, cruise lines offer just about any activity under the sun to keep kids of all ages occupied and entertained.

Cruises Are Fun for Children and Parents Too!

Oasis of the Seas, Royal Suite Class

The popularity of family cruising is growing every year, especially among the younger generations. All the mass market cruise lines have been pumping billions into new cruise ships and millions into upgrading their activities and entertainment with more Wow-Factor than you can even imagine. Families love all the options available on cruise ships, and besides super-opinionated people, nobody could claim to be bored.

According to the Cruise Lines Association, Australia had one million cruisers this past year, and half were under the age of 50.  This trend seems to be growing globally and the cruise lines are ready to deliver the vacation of a lifetime.

Royal Caribbean is perfect for families

They are creating ships that are more astounding than ever by continuing to raise the bar.  The “Anthem of the Seas,” with a capacity of 4,905 passengers, launched back in spring 2015.  It features a sky diving machine, bumper cars, a circus school, and a crane operated glass observation pod that suspends guests 300 feet above the ocean. Families will love their seemingly endless options for customizing and combining cabins. Guests will also be able to enjoy rock climbing walls, the flow-rider, the Dreamworks Experience, and an outdoor movie screen.

Disney Fantasy Cruises Are Sure to Delight

In 2016, Disney Cruise Line guests can experience the legendary adventures and iconic characters from the Star Wars saga for the first time aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship in a brand-new, day-long celebration during eight special sailings: “Star Wars Day at Sea.” The event combines the power of the Force, the magic of Disney and the excitement of cruisingDisney is another reason families are choosing cruises these days now since the Disney park experience is available at sea. They cater impeccably to both kids and parents. Even infants and toddlers are welcome on board, but my personal feeling is that parents should wait until children are potty-trained to fully take advantage of the kids’ program.

The Disney Cruise Line offers the best children’s and teen’s programs of any other cruise line, thanks to extensive activities. Every minute of a Disney Cruise is jam packed with parties, character-autograph sessions, Broadway style musicals, movies, and games. On the Disney Fantasy Cruise, there is even an 1,800-foot water play area to keep its up to 4,000 cruisers cool and entertained.

The Disney staterooms are my favourite, as they are so roomy and well thought out. They feature cool bunk beds, fold out couches to save space, and separate toilet and sink spaces away from the bathtub and shower, which is so practical for families.

Mickey and Mini on Disney Dream

In the past 10 years, a number of new value adding features have been gaining momentum which all families anticipate and enjoy. Everything one could possibly imagine is either available now or is a coming attraction to look forward to… and in most cases, all of the added entertainment and options are included in the price of your cruise.

I always remind my clients, especially if they have little ones, that this is the only vacation where parents get a break too. I personally feel that the Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Norwegian Cruise Line are the most beloved choices for families looking for value for the entire family including the grandparents.

There are so many stupendous surprises to look forward to.

Conclusion

It thrills me to help my clients plan incredible family trips that will give them memories for a lifetime. With all that the Internet offers it’s still vitally important for people to rely on professional input when planning their family cruise vacation.
